...and worked for various organisations after finishing his education in fiscal law at the University of Amsterdam in 1986. During this period, Michiel gained extensive experience in the area of structuring of Dutch, EU and international investments.
Michiel has worked at Grant Thornton since 1993. There, he worked first as a tax manager and, after successfully completing his post-doctoral degree in European fiscal studies (on the EC and international tax law) at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Michiel became fully involved in the international tax practice at Grant Thornton.
Michiel became partner on 1 January 1999. He is specialised in international restructuring and acquisitions, due diligence, rulings and transfer pricing.
Michiel regularly attends meetings of the TPAC (Transfer Pricing Advisory Committee) within the international network of which Grant Thornton is a part.
