Jurgen van Hattum

Jurgen van Hattum works at the Amsterdam branch...

...and has been made a partner with our International Tax Services (ITS) in Amsterdam with effect from 1 January 2012. Jurgen has been employed at Grant Thornton since 2008 and has since worked on further developing the corporate business. Prior to that he spent more than ten years working at a Big-4 firm and as a partner with a medium-sized tax consultancy. Jurgen has specialised in corporation tax, but also has a broad focus on all the other taxes which companies which operate internationally may encounter. He has gained extensive experience in areas including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence processes, royalty structures and transfer pricing. Van Hattum has also been regularly involved in major international projects such as reorganisations, worldwide road shows and tax compliance coordination.
 
Within ITS Jurgen focuses particularly on advising foreign (listed) companies, but also on family firms which wish to establish themselves in the Netherlands and Dutch companies which wish to expand their activities abroad. He has extensive experience of a wide variety of sectors, with a particular focus on private equity investments and the financial sector.
